<image:caption>To Will a House: a 4' x 2' oil painting on canvas, by artist, Jane Forrest, inspired by To Will a House. Jane Forrest (b. 2005) is an artist and curator working between New York City and Toronto. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Through materially intensive and repetitive processes, her practice considers labor as a form of endurance and care. Working across mosaic, painting, and sculpture, she examines how memory becomes embedded in domestic architecture through the accumulation of fragments, touch, and pressure. Her work has been exhibited at the Orillia Museum of Art & History, the Art Gallery of Hamilton, and the Royal Ontario Museum. She attended the Yale Norfolk School of Art in summer of 2026.</image:caption>

<image:caption>My Return: a needle felted wool painting inspired by the ending of the book To Will A House by Augusta X Thomson. It is based on the quote: "Once upon a time, there was a house-- a farmhouse on the Penobscot Bay. It knew nothing of itself or anyone around it. It knew only the rise and fall of the sun, the cool of the ground-- its harsh amplification in winter. When the time came for the ocean to swallow up what no longer served the coast, the house knew what it had to do. It walked into the bay like a beacon and disappeared forever." Bio: Jessie Kritt White is a fiber artist and teacher with a love of crafting and building community through art. With over 9 years of experience in weaving, macrame, crochet, and indigo dyeing, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work. She recently added needle felting to her artistic repertoire and loves working with fiber in this way to create landscape paintings. Jessie's work is characterized by a love of color, texture, pattern and a focus on using sustainable and eco-friendly materials wherever possible. She is deeply inspired by the natural world and the rich history and cultural significance of fiber arts. <image:caption>Lupines: “There is a quiet, subtle restraint; an emptiness. The lupine towers over the meadow. As the lupine grows, it gives back to the soil, it gives back to the land. We tell the story and decide what is repeated, but the lupine will continue to grow year after year. Long after we have left.” Lupines for Augusta Acrylic on canvas 2026 This painting was derived from a photograph by @augusta.x.thompson. Riley Dunbar is a Brooklyn based artist. Her practice is rooted in looking and seeing. Through painting, drawing, printmaking, and embroidery, she creates compositions that are a collection of observations and memories of familiar spaces. They’re quiet and detailed. She’s interested in how these tiny details, if we really look at them, can tell us something about the structures we live in—and how they might change if we forget to look. @rileykaydunbar rileydunbar.com</image:caption>
